About The Position

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a leading provider of commercial skilled trade services throughout California, with a service department operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Service Manager to support our Northern California service operations division. This position is responsible for managing commercial plumbing service technicians, coordinating service operations, providing technical leadership, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial plumbing service and a proven ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and drive operational excellence. The hours are Monday through Friday, first shift.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of journeyman-level commercial plumbing experience in service, repair, or maintenance environments
  • Minimum of two years of recent supervisory or management experience leading commercial plumbing technicians
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial plumbing troubleshooting, diagnostics, and problem-solving
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced service environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, technicians, vendors, and internal departments
  • Proficiency utilizing mobile applications, Microsoft Office Suite, and web-based service management software

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the scheduling, delegation, execution, and quality assurance of commercial plumbing service work orders, working closely with dispatch and account management teams
  • Support departmental objectives and goals by effectively managing field technicians
  • Assist and review service plumbing estimates to support the continued growth of the department
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to field technicians on best practices
  • Forecast, procure, and manage plumbing equipment, tools, and materials
  • Manage personnel in compliance with state laws, company policies and established protocols
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, account managers, dispatch personnel, and internal departments
  • Provide afterhours technical support and participate in on-call rotation for supervisory weekend coverage
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental growth and operational success
