About The Position

Pro Tech Mechanical is seeking a motivated Apprentice Commercial Plumber to join our growing team. This role supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems on large-scale commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, and interested in developing a long-term career in the mechanical trades.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
TX Apprentice Plumbing card
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
Valid Drivers License in good standing.

Nice To Haves

Previous construction or plumbing experience
Familiarity with commercial job sites
Exposure to mechanical, HVAC, or MEP environments

Responsibilities

Assist licensed plumbers with installation of commercial plumbing systems, including water, waste, and vent piping
Support installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, floor drains, and specialty equipment
Help with layout, measuring, cutting, and assembling pipe (PVC, copper, cast iron, etc.)
Maintain tools, materials, and job site cleanliness
Follow blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions from supervisors
Adhere to all safety standards and company policies
Assist in pressure testing, inspections, and system start-ups
Work alongside other trades on large commercial/industrial job sites
