About The Position

The Commercial Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial plumbing systems and fixtures while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and customer expectations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on commercial job sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial plumbing experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift and handle plumbing tools, equipment, and materials
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, kneeling, crouching, and lifting for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Plumber license preferred but not required
  • Trade school, apprenticeship, or community college plumbing training preferred
  • Experience working with commercial plumbing systems and equipment
  • OSHA certification is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Install underground drainage and water supply piping systems
  • Inspect plumbing systems, diagnose issues, and complete necessary repairs
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping to specifications
  • Utilize hand and power tools to install valves, pumps, couplings, tanks, and related plumbing components
  • Assist with layout and installation of water, waste, and air systems
  • Repair damaged equipment, broken piping, and clogged drains
  • Ensure all work complies with local codes and company safety standards
  • Coordinate with contractors, pipefitters, and other construction professionals
  • Assist with material selection and procurement as needed
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate project updates
  • Participate in on-call rotations and travel to job sites as required
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working condition
  • Deliver professional, high-quality customer service on every project
