The Commercial Planning Manager reports to the VP of Commercial Planning and plays a pivotal role in the management and execution of the national incentive calendar, commercialization of the innovation agenda, and annual planning. This role serves as the operational driver responsible to enable execution of national incentive programs, innovation items and planning deliverables. Responsible to manage timelines, templates, and deliverables, and to communicate progress against program objectives at the brand and market level. This position also translates the needs of sales into marketing deliverables, and helps translate marketing programs into sales templates that drive execution. This position will help ensure the organization delivers against the timing requirements of our distributor partners with content and materials from our marketing team to enable the sales team for incentives, marketing programs, and innovations. We’re seeking candidates that excel at outcome-based collaboration, primarily between sales and marketing. The role requires exceptional interpersonal dexterity, and the ability to partner while holding individuals accountable. Ideal candidates have deep commercial knowledge of all 3 tiers of the Beverage Alcohol industry and have 3-5 years experience in roles within sales, marketing, and distributor management managing incentives and launching new items. They’ll thrive under pressure, operate with a sense of mission, urgency and accountability, and be capable of managing a complex and sophisticated task load in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance, marketing, or related field) required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Beverage Alcohol working directly with distributors in a sales or marketing capacity.
  • Deep knowledge of Beverage Alcohol and three-tiered system.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with incentive development or execution.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and industry enterprise planning tools (e.g., Power BI, Cognos, SharePoint); familiarity with syndicated data (e.g., Circana).
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach to managing workload and keeping leadership informed.
  • Ability to make progress on multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage a wide swath of deliverables.
