Requirements
- 5+ years working as a Pipe Fitter in the HVAC Industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
- Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints.
- Well versed in a variety of pipe types: aluminum, PVC, steel, compressed air, vacuum, etc.
- Plan pipe system installation, or repair according to specifications.
- Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading.
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
- Cut, thread, and braze pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe-threaders and benders.
