About The Position

The Commercial Optimization & Enablement, Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Shift4's Commercial operations. This position is responsible for optimizing internal processes, driving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring support of the Commercial team as they work with new and existing merchants. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in operations, project management, and team leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years in relevant industry roles, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals and corporate standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in CRM systems like Salesforce, sales automation platforms, project management tools, and data analytics software such as Tableau, with a strong familiarity with industry-standard technologies.
  • Project Management Skills: Extensive experience in managing complex projects, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) in business, finance, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Lead efforts to standardize and improve internal processes related to the sales process, ensuring a streamlined and efficient experience for all stakeholders. Develop operational plans and procedures that promote increased revenue and long-term growth. Eliminate redundancies and address knowledge and process gaps to enhance execution.
  • Project Management: Take ownership of Commercial projects aimed at enhancing the Commercial team’s experience, collaborating closely with Commercial leaders. Manage projects from initiation to completion, providing reports on both outcomes and lessons learned.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Finance, Legal and Learning & Development, to identify and address process inefficiencies and training needs.
  • System Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of internal systems such as Salesforce to effectively manage and improve workflows. Establish expertise in Salesforce reporting in order to track KPIs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with key Commercial stakeholders to drive engagement and productivity, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
