The team is looking for a lawyer to act as its Commercial Manager dealing with a range of critical commercial and legal issues to assist the organization to successfully continue to deliver the maintenance operations for the system. Requirements

  • Minimum 7-10 years commercial experience
  • Meticulous document and file management, organizational skills and experience
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to new problems
  • Strong work ethic, prepared to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Exemplary English writing and communication skill

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with P3 Contracts would be an asset
  • Experience within an infrastructure company preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage commercial processes and systems
  • Draft, review and administer complex contracts
  • Draft, review and manage all correspondence between project stakeholders
  • Liaise with management, and the legal and management teams of the partner entities
  • Analyze disputes and claims to assess entitlement and path to resolution
  • Prepare documents, correspondence and submissions to support or defend claims
  • Negotiate with clients, partners, and subcontractors
  • Manage and direct external counsel and consultants in claims of varying size and complexity
  • Provide business, contractual and risk mitigation strategy, and guidance
  • Prepare and present regular updates to the board of directors
