About The Position

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is a data-driven, full-service repair, and preventative maintenance partner across all trades serving over 20,000 locations in the US. We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our service delivery team to deliver the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to our clients. This role is ideal for a skilled commercial technician who is detail-oriented, a self-starter, and enjoys travel, variety, and autonomy within a supportive, growing company.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS, welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to provide own reliable transportation with capacity to transport tools and equipment.
  • Comfortable and proficient with technology, including industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to operate tools capable of producing up to 200 pounds of torque.
  • Ability to perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, flooring, masonry, EIFS, welding, and advanced structural repairs.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings to deliver exceptional service with minimal direct supervision.
  • Act as the eyes and ears in the field, responsible for completing service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner.
  • Maintain clear lines of professional communication with lead technicians, supervisors, managers, and office staff regarding open issues and progress of assigned work, including thorough documentation.
  • Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers, displaying a high level of professionalism.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
  • Drive up to 500-2000 miles per week to client sites with paid mileage reimbursement.
  • Meet the demands of a flexible and adaptable schedule, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel (1–4 nights).
  • Provide own reliable transportation capable of transporting tools and equipment such as an extended ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine, hand tools, and toolbox.
  • Be comfortable and proficient with technology, including industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools for work orders, team communication, and service activity documentation.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs.; operate tools capable of producing up to 200 pounds of torque; and perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.
