About The Position

Supports the Business Services Departments by generating loan documentation and gathering information related to new loans, loan renewals, loan modifications, and loan extensions. Collects information from commercial loan borrowers, employees, and vendors necessary to complete loan files and service loans. Ensure loan files are complete, scanned, and stored electronically according to the department’s policies and procedures. Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with inquiries related to commercial loan servicing issues may conduct necessary research to resolve issues and communicate with members accordingly.
  • Assist with preparing commercial loan documentation including new loan requests, loan extensions, and loan modifications in conformance with each loan’s approved terms and conditions.
  • Orders credit reports, title policies, environmental reports, and appraisals; gathers insurance evidence; conducts property and UCC searches; and completes other due diligence items as necessary for commercial loan officers to underwrite, process, and close new loans.
  • Assist with servicing commercial loans to include, but not limited to, processing commercial loan payoffs, all paid out loan files and releases of collateral, loan data-entry like loan disbursements, routine payments, loan draws, principal reductions, address changes, and other loan file maintenance.
  • Assesses and updates existing loan files and tickler reports to determine what is needed from commercial loan borrowers to renew a loan and follow up to ensure timely receipt of such items. Items may include but are not limited to updated financial statements, credit reports, rent rolls, insurance certificates, and other information required to conduct accurate and complete annual loan reviews.
  • Assist with reconciling assigned general ledger accounts related to commercial loan activities, payment processing, escrow, insurance, and the like.
  • Tracks deeds of trust and liens for all commercial loan notes to ensure completion of recording and lien satisfaction.
  • Conducts post-closing loan reviews and edits, as necessary, to the loan platform to ensure accuracy to loan terms and conditions.
  • Monitors hazard/flood insurance, policy renewals, cancelations and force placed insurance as necessary.
  • Completes assigned job specific training, attends meetings, and completes assigned compliance training within designated timeframes.
  • Must comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies and procedures, including attendance at annual training, as directed by the BSA Officer.
