About The Position
The First Bank and Trust Company is looking for an experienced Commercial Loan Officer who thrives on producing new business and building lasting relationships. This role is for a natural connector with deep market relationships and the drive and leadership to bring in and manage profitable commercial relationships.
Requirements
- Proven track record in commercial lending production.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis and commercial loan structuring.
- Established business and referral network in Virginia.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the discipline to drive results.
Responsibilities
- Proactively source, development, and maintain commercial banking relationships in Virginia.
- Assists with implementing the bank’s business plan and keeping management informed of internal resources, market conditions, and competitive pressures.
- Identify lending opportunities, structure competitive loan packages, and guide borrowers through the application process.
- Manage and grow your loan portfolio with a focus on retention and cross-selling.
- Partner with credit, deposit, and operation co-workers to deliver smooth, efficient service to clients.
- Identify and explore business development opportunities within the community.
- Represent the bank in the community to develop business and promote The First Bank and Trust products and services.
