About The Position

Are you an experienced Commercial Loan Officer with a strong commitment to member service? In this Commercial Loan Officer II or III role, you’ll use your lending expertise to originate and offer commercial loan products that support our members’ financial well-being. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys collaboration and building strong member relationships. Your day might include: Originating, evaluating, negotiating, underwriting, and preparing new Member Business Loan applications, with a strong emphasis on commercial real estate and commercial C&I lending. Serving as the primary point of contact for developing new Member Business relationships throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, building and maintaining a strong referral and business network. Conducting comprehensive credit analysis by compiling, analyzing, and verifying financial statements, tax returns, collateral documentation, and other relevant information to structure sound lending solutions. Interviewing loan applicants to assess creditworthiness and business viability; clearly communicating loan structures, pricing, terms, collateral requirements, and approval conditions. Presenting well-structured loan recommendations to management and/or the Commercial Loan Committee and communicating approval conditions to members. Ensuring loan packages are completed, accurate, and compliant with internal policy and regulatory requirements prior to closing. Adhering to fraud prevention protocols, HMDA requirements, and all applicable federal and state regulations governing commercial lending. Utilizing lending systems to processing, closing, and maintaining loans while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality of member information. Proactively managing a portfolio of commercial loans by maintaining ongoing relationships with members, monitoring credit performance, identifying risk, and resolving post-closing issues to maintain portfolio quality. Providing exceptional member service by responding promptly to inquiries, explaining credit decisions professionally, and delivering a high standard of relationship management. For III, designing and structuring complex loan transactions, including tailored terms and covenants, to mitigate risk to the organization. For III, mentoring and supporting junior lenders. For III, providing insight into portfolio strategy and risk trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, finance and/or economic courses. Relevant experience may be substituted year-for-year for the education requirement
  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant commercial lending sales experience (for Commercial Loan Officer II)
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant commercial lending experience (for Commercial Loan Officer III)
  • Knowledge in loan documentation (application and closing)
  • Knowledge of investor and commercial lending regulations
  • Knowledge of business loan products
  • Reliable, high-speed home internet connection
  • Private, confidential workspace, away from distractions and other people
  • Suitable desk/surface and desk chair
  • Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington.
