Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist
About The Position
The Commercial Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for preparing and reviewing legal documentation for complex commercial loan transactions, ensuring all documents comply with corporate credit policy, regulatory standards, and internal guidelines. This role collaborates closely with relationship banking staff, legal departments, and external counsel to confirm that all loan terms and conditions are properly documented and protects the bank’s interests. The specialist also supports training new team members and serves as a resource for complex transactions, utilizing in-depth knowledge of banking processes and legal requirements to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
- Experience with Laser Pro legal documentation software or similar application in the financial or legal industry
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing legal documentation for complex commercial loan transactions
- Ensuring all documents comply with corporate credit policy, regulatory standards, and internal guidelines
- Collaborating closely with relationship banking staff, legal departments, and external counsel to confirm that all loan terms and conditions are properly documented and protects the bank’s interests
- Determining required documentation
- Coordinating loan closings
- Ensuring due diligence
- Auditing existing loan files
- Recommending improvements to procedures and operational controls
- Supporting training new team members
- Serving as a resource for complex transactions
