About The Position

River Run is a shared services organization that supports banking affiliates, Newburyport Bank, Pentucket Bank and Rollstone Bank & Trust. As a Commercial Loan Administrator, you'll play a key role in the commercial lending process by coordinating loan closings from approval through funding while ensuring compliance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in commercial loan administration, loan processing, loan closing, banking operations, or a related legal/paralegal role.
  • Ability to coordinate loan closings, prepare documentation, and support lenders and internal partners.
  • Experience in commercial lending, loan administration, loan documentation, loan processing, or a related banking/legal role.
  • Knowledge of commercial loan documentation, closing processes, and lending operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial loan products, including Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial & Industrial (C&I), and SBA lending, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of commercial loan closings with lenders, credit analysts, portfolio managers, attorneys, and loan servicing.
  • Perform pre-closing due diligence including flood determinations, UCC searches, Secretary of State filings, insurance reviews, tax escrow calculations, and regulatory documentation.
  • Prepare commercial loan documentation including notes, mortgages, loan agreements, modifications, and related closing documents.
  • Review attorney-prepared documents for accuracy and ensure loan documentation matches approved terms.
  • Process SBA loan documentation and support SBA loan closings.
  • Prepare and maintain commercial construction loan files and coordinate third-party construction monitoring.
  • Procure and perfect collateral including UCC filings and vehicle titles.
  • Assemble and prepare legal files for post-closing review, boarding, and quality control.
  • Collaborate with Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers to resolve issues and obtain post-closing documentation.
  • Maintain commercial credit files and provide documentation for audits and examinations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to borrower and internal partner inquiries.
  • Support Commercial Lenders with loan servicing and administrative functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, Bank policies, and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
