As a Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist within the Shepherd family, you will assist insurance advisors and the account management team in the handling and processing of new and renewal commercial lines quotes accordance with Agency procedures and guidelines. With a positive attitude, you will also provide customer service to clients as assigned and requested.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years’ experience in similar position is desirable.
• Required state licensing certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
• Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures, and policy rating systems.
• Familiar in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), agency & document managing system.

Nice To Haves

• College degree is preferred, not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, prompt, and accurate service to clients.
• Assist insurance advisors and account managers with new business quoting and applications.
• Assist insurance advisors and account managers with renewal quoting and remarkets/rewrites.
• Serve as a resource to account management team on risk assessment and appetite.
• Assist advisors with cross-selling and account rounding.
• Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding new business and remarketing efforts: comply with the request and/or refer to the advisor when necessary.
• Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
