About The Position

The primary function of this role is to service and maintain a designated book of commercial insurance business, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting agency growth through effective account management practices. This role involves direct interaction with clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to deliver high-quality service and maintain accurate account records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial lines insurance account management experience
  • Active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty license required
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting processes, and carrier relationships
  • Proficiency with an agency management system (AMS360 and/or Applied Epic preferred), and quoting platforms
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to providing positive client experience
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a consistently positive client experience through responsive and professional service.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to promote retention and long-term satisfaction.
  • Represent the agency in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner aligned with agency values.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email in a timely, respectful, and effective manner.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell or expand accounts and support agency growth initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and policy information in the agency management system.
  • Document all client interactions and account activity in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Process routine policy service requests including auto ID cards, certificates of insurance, and policy changes.
  • Receive and manage change requests, update account documentation, and communicate changes to carriers as needed.
  • Process endorsements and ensure schedules (vehicles, drivers, equipment, etc.) remain current and accurate.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and professional responses to all service needs.
  • Remain available during business hours to manage incoming client communications.
  • Gather risk and coverage information from clients and prepare carrier submissions.
  • Complete carrier applications and enter quote information into agency and carrier platforms.
  • Prioritize placement of business with agency-appointed and preferred carrier partners.
  • Prepare and complete questionnaires, supporting documentation, and required underwriting materials according to agency standards.
  • Obtain, compare, and evaluate carrier quotes and collaborate with Producers to recommend appropriate coverage.
  • Issue binders for new and rewritten business as authorized.
  • Prepare and deliver policies and renewal documentation to clients in a timely and professional manner.
