About The Position

Foundation Risk Partners is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager with a focus on construction clients to join their team in Fairfield, NJ. This role supports experienced account managers and producers in servicing contractors, builders, and developers. The position offers the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of commercial insurance while managing policies that protect job sites, equipment, and workers, providing hands-on training and exposure to construction risk management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience); coursework in business, finance, or risk management a plus.
Willingness to obtain Property & Casualty license within 90 days of hire.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with agency management systems is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day servicing of construction accounts, including issuing certificates of insurance, processing endorsements, and updating client records.
Support the team in managing coverage such as general liability, workers’ compensation, builder’s risk, and commercial auto.
Help review contracts and insurance requirements under supervision to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Respond to client inquiries and carrier communications with professionalism and accuracy.
Participate in training sessions to build knowledge of insurance products, agency systems, and construction industry exposures.
Collaborate with senior account managers and producers to deliver excellent client service and maintain strong relationships.
