About The Position

We are looking to bring in an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to support and help grow an established Western Washington book of business. The ideal candidate will be strong in customer relationship management, retention strategy, and overall account stewardship while also being proactive in identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand relationships within the existing book. This role will include support of incoming new business opportunities in addition to ongoing cross-sell, upsell, account rounding, and general organic growth efforts tied to the book. We are looking for someone who naturally recognizes opportunities within conversations and relationships and can help create long-term customer value through thoughtful account management. This position can be remote, though hybrid is preferred, when possible, near one of our existing office locations to support collaboration, training, and team integration. Ultimately, the right fit, experience level, and overall approach are more important than geography alone. We are looking for someone dependable, positive, relationship-driven, and proactive who takes pride in both customer experience and long-term book health.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty License required.
  • Insurance experience necessary.
  • Ability to successfully manage different projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to speak and write in a clear and calm manner, ensuring customer satisfaction above all.
  • Ability to plan and operate in a well-organized manner.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team, as well as maintain a positive attitude and good energy in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years Commercial Lines experience preferred
  • Functional familiarity with Applied EPIC strongly preferred
  • Ability to independently manage day-to-day account activity
  • Comfortable with applications, accords, marketing, proposals, and carrier communication
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
  • Generalist commercial experience preferred across a variety of account types

Responsibilities

  • Answer client’s questions regarding payments and notices.
  • Process endorsements for clients.
  • Manage a diverse book of house accounts.
  • Cross-sell additional lines of business to existing customers.
  • Support designated sales staff.
  • Review and respond to renewal activities.
  • Follow up and see tasks thru to completion.
