About The Position

NFP, an Aon company, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive/Sr. Account Executive with generalist coverage experience and ideally experience servicing specialized Eldercare Facilities clients. This role involves a critical advisory capacity, focusing on high-level client engagement and relationship management for middle-market and complex clients. The position requires expertise in coverage analysis, claim review, risk management, and alternative risk structures. The Account Executive will be responsible for providing impactful insurance program solutions, conducting presentations, and managing client meetings. A strong understanding of all property and casualty coverage lines, as well as management liability coverage lines, is essential. This role will support multiple Producers and manage a book of business with $1.5M in revenue. Title and salary will be commensurate with experience and knowledge. This is a full-time remote position with typical work hours of 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday. Candidates ideally located in the mid-Atlantic or East Coast are preferred due to potential travel requirements.

Requirements

  • Property and casualty insurance license upon hire is required.
  • Ideally 10+ years Property Casualty servicing experience.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of insurance coverages and an ability to communicate this knowledge clearly to clients and underwriters.
  • Strong written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage workload.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, to include Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • When working from home, must maintain a private workspace to secure company equipment and correspondence; maintain high-speed internet, be present and responsive online and minimize personal interruptions during your work shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Serviced specialized Eldercare Facilities clients (includes long-term care, senior living, independent living, assisted living, nursing homes, home health, rehab and hospice).
  • Experience with all property and casualty coverage lines, general liability, professional liability, property, builders risk, difference in conditions (DIC), flood, deductible buy down workers compensation and auto.
  • Well-versed with management liability coverage lines (D&O, EPL, Crime, Cyber and Fiduciary).
  • Professional designations preferred (CIC, AAI, CISR, CPIA).
  • BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • EPIC experience is preferred, but will consider other agency management system experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage primary client relationship and development of customer service plan.
  • Maintain a focus on growth and retention of assigned book of business.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of trust with clients through consistent contact and proactive resolution of any actionable serving items, questions or concerns.
  • Initiate client meetings to strategize for the renewal marketing process and advise on the best coverage alternatives.
  • Review ownership and management contracts, property leases, and other contractual documents to gather important information and insurance requirements for compliance purposes.
  • Discuss and negotiate coverage and related pricing with carriers and wholesalers based on an in-depth understanding of client’s exposures and historical claims.
  • Prepare renewal submissions based on strategy and client meeting results, including loss analysis, changes in exposure/operations, and recommended coverage options.
  • Conduct renewal presentations with clients either individually or with other members of the team.
  • Market and underwrite accounts, selecting appropriate markets based on appetite, presenting the client's operational story effectively to underwriters, summarizing historical claims, and documenting carrier clearance.
  • Maintain high-level and consistent carrier/wholesale communication to obtain comprehensive quotes within the target timeline.
  • Act as a strategic negotiator to obtain comprehensive coverage and the most competitive premium.
  • Develop strong relationships with business partners including carrier underwriters, wholesalers, and other professional service providers.
  • Travel 2-3 times a year as required for client or other meetings.
  • Document correspondence, electronic documents, and all pending activities within the Management Operating System.
  • Engage and encourage consistent professional communication with clients, carriers, and staff.
  • Stay informed with industry insurance information, training, new available markets or technologies, and changing legislation affecting the eldercare industry.
  • Provide mentorship and oversight of account associates and account managers as assigned, including their client servicing tasks.
  • Support the growth into a staff leadership function.
