About The Position

Account Assistants support Senior Account Managers and Account Managers by processing delegated work in accordance with agency procedures. This role requires adherence to high professional standards, maintaining strict confidentiality, and demonstrating outstanding customer service. The position also emphasizes a proactive commitment to personal and professional development, including pursuing insurance certifications and staying updated with industry trends. A positive and respectful attitude, along with collaborative teamwork, is essential for achieving departmental and companywide objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • At least 3 years working experience preferred in the insurance industry as clerical/customer service
  • Hold current and valid Property and Casualty Insurance license or able to obtain one within 6 months of accepting the position
  • Possess a supportive and responsive manner with internal and external customers
  • Has ability to multi-task in complex working environment with accuracy and proficiency
  • Possess above average computer skills, existing proficient is strongly preferred in various needed programs, such as AMS360, ImageRight, eCerts, PINS, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to set up and conduct meetings in a virtual environment such as Teams and Zoom including the ability to share screens and make presentations (ex. PowerPoint, Proposals, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Existing proficient is strongly preferred in various needed programs, such as AMS360, ImageRight, eCerts, PINS, Excel, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Maintain electronic files in accordance with agency procedures.
  • Check assigned policies using checklist and refer discrepancies to Executive Account Manager, Senior Account Manager or Account Manager, or handle discrepancies brought to light by Resource Pro policy review.
  • Transmit policies to clients in a policy binder book, or electronically as directed by Executive Account Manager, Senior Account Manager or Account Manager.
  • Order endorsement changes as directed by Executive Account Manager, Senior Account Manager or Account Manager, update AMS360 details as needed.
  • Handle tasks as assigned in the WorkSmart System or suspense in AMS360.
  • Process and invoice endorsements, interim and final audits, and cancellations.
  • Order and send out loss runs as requested.
  • Execute the necessary tasks to issue new and renewal certificates of insurance with company guidelines.
  • Back up on Daily issuance of Certificates of Insurance as needed.
  • Request and Review Motor Vehicle records and respond back to the client by email.
  • Assist Executive Account Manager, Senior Account Manager or Account Manager with special projects as needed.
  • File documents in a timely manner, using the ImageRight System or AMS360.
  • Meet agency guidelines for timely processing work assigned.
  • Back up and help the team with front desk (answering phones), assisting with certificate projects, helping clear backlog, training new hires, and taking on projects at the request of your manager or the Account Assistant Team Lead.
  • All other duties as assigned.
