About The Position

This is an 8-week Summer Internship program for 2027 with the Central Oklahoma Lending and Credit teams. The intern will observe and review credit and financial reports to assess risks associated with lending money or extending credit. The role involves working closely with Central Oklahoma lenders, portfolio managers, and management to assist in monitoring the existing loan portfolio and supporting new client development efforts.

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work on multiple transactions simultaneously and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex financial information and identify relevant risks.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Applicants must be based in the OKC metro area.
  • Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; and ratio, proportion, and percentage.
  • Ability to perform very simple algebra.
  • Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias.
  • Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  • Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis, correct pronunciation (or sign equivalent), and variation in word order using present, perfect, and future tenses.

Responsibilities

  • Spreading and analysis of commercial financial statements for prospective and existing loan customers.
  • Assisting in performing financial analysis and underwriting of loan packages, including preparing charts and narratives related to sources & uses, capitalization, historical and projected financial statements, financial covenants, stress testing, and collateral valuation.
  • Assisting in diligence for prospective and existing customers related to business descriptions, industry analysis, market analysis, and other general credit risk factor analysis.
  • Reviewing loan request presentation packages including loan structuring, collateral analysis, guarantor analysis, and calculation of Global Debt Service Coverage.
  • Obtaining and analyzing appropriate diligence materials for the evaluation of collateral value.
  • Rotations through various departments as available.
  • Shadowing opportunities as assigned.
  • Completing a final summer project based around a loan presentation.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
