About The Position

The HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining commercial HVAC equipment. Must be familiar with some of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements

Familiarity with some of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Good verbal, written, listening, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repairs, and service calls for HVAC systems including package units, split systems, etc. in accordance with manufacturers recommended practices.
Complete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
Work with customer and co-workers.
Be willing and committed to take training and successfully complete training.
Promote and practice incident-free work environment.
Periodically check motors, compressors, and controls; initiate action for the major overhaul of equipment.
Study developments in refrigerants, equipment, and practices and utilize findings in the installation and maintenance of equipment.
Ensure and comply with safety regulations, work performance standards, rules and working conditions.
Prepare work reports and requisitions for supplies, parts, and equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
