About The Position

Pine Lake Nursery & Landscape is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused Commercial Landscape Crew Member (CDL License Required) to join our growing team. This position combines transportation responsibilities with hands-on landscape field work, requiring an individual who can safely operate commercial vehicles while actively supporting landscape installation, maintenance, enhancement, and nursery operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, operating equipment, transporting materials, and assisting crews with daily production activities. This role is essential in helping our teams complete projects safely, efficiently, and to Pine Lake's quality standards.

Requirements

  • Valid Florida CDL Class A Driver's License.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating commercial vehicles, trailers, or heavy equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate landscape equipment and tools.
  • Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and any required background checks.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Landscape, nursery, construction, or related outdoor industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport landscape materials, trees, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites, vendors, and company facilities.
  • Load, unload, secure, and inspect materials before transportation.
  • Operate trucks, trailers, loaders, skid steers, and other equipment as needed.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain required DOT documentation.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly functioning vehicles and equipment.
  • Report vehicle and equipment maintenance needs promptly.
  • Assist landscape installation, maintenance, enhancement, and nursery crews with daily operations.
  • Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscape materials.
  • Install mulch, sod, irrigation components, and landscape enhancements.
  • Perform pruning, trimming, edging, and general landscape maintenance tasks.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
  • Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and debris removal.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscape equipment safely.
  • Follow project specifications and company quality standards.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining a high level of workmanship.
  • Assist supervisors and crew leaders with project completion.
  • Support nursery operations and material handling activities as needed.
  • Maintain company equipment, trailers, and storage areas in an organized condition.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
