About The Position

Pine Tree Food Equipment is hiring experienced technicians who can perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment, including ice machines, walk-in coolers, freezers, ovens, fryers, griddles, and HVAC units. This is a full-time opportunity with competitive pay and a supportive team environment. The role involves responding to emergency service calls, conducting preventative maintenance, and providing excellent customer service. Technicians will also be responsible for maintaining their service vehicle, managing parts, completing paperwork, and participating in ongoing training. The company offers a sign-on bonus for experienced technicians.

Requirements

  • EPA Certification (cold side)
  • Minimum 2 years of mechanical/electrical/refrigeration experience
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that align with our safety standards
  • Compliance with safety procedures and regulations
  • Flexibility for on-call shifts and overtime when necessary
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic
  • Completion of a successful background check and drug screen is required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Gas license and hands-on experience with cold and/or hot side commercial kitchen equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ice machines, walk-in coolers, freezers, ovens, fryers, griddles, and HVAC units

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert diagnostics and repairs on commercial refrigeration and ice machines
  • Troubleshoot and repair commercial cooking equipment like fryers, ovens, steamers, ranges, and more
  • Respond to emergency service calls and conduct routine preventative maintenance
  • Deliver outstanding service with courtesy and professionalism
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, managers, and sales staff
  • Spot new business opportunities while servicing existing accounts
  • Maintain your service vehicle and manage parts orders
  • Complete all required paperwork and attend ongoing training
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
