Commercial Kitchen/Hood Cleaning Technician
About The Position
NELBUD is growing and seeking hardworking individuals to build a long-term career in essential commercial fire protection and kitchen exhaust services. These services include kitchen exhaust hood cleaning, technical services, repair, fire protection and suppression systems, grease trap cleaning, and line jetting. As a Kitchen Exhaust/Hood Cleaning Technician, you will be part of a team servicing commercial kitchen exhaust systems. This is a physically demanding overnight position that may involve working in tight spaces, climbing ladders, accessing rooftops, and working in a variety of weather conditions.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
- Ability to work overnight with varying start times
- Ability to climb ladders and work safely on rooftops
- Ability to work in tight or confined spaces
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong reliability, work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Be at least 20 years old
- Have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience
- Meet NELBUD's driver eligibility requirements

- Previous experience in a physically demanding position is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Cleaning commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, fans, ducts, and rooftop equipment
- Removing grease buildup throughout kitchen exhaust systems
- Cleaning rooftop exhaust fans and surrounding areas
- Assisting with installation of accessories such as access panels, hinge kits, and grease containment systems
- Operating pressure washing and cleaning equipment
- Following NELBUD safety procedures and quality standards
- Providing professional service while working at customer locations
