About The Position

Universal Electrical Service is hiring an experienced Commercial Journeyman Electrician for full-time field work in the Souderton, Pennsylvania area. The role involves installing electrical systems on active commercial and industrial construction jobsites, from start to finish. Projects may include office and commercial fit-outs, warehouses and distribution facilities, manufacturing facilities, clean rooms, food and beverage facilities, equipment installations, and other commercial and industrial construction projects. The electrician may also help guide apprentices and other crew members when needed while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety throughout the job.

Requirements

• Journeyman-level commercial field experience.
• Several years of hands-on electrical construction experience.
• Comfort bending and installing conduit.
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out work.
• Experience with commercial electrical installations and rough-in.
• Ability to work independently without constant direction.
• Experience working on active construction jobsites.
• Pride in delivering quality work.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial electrical installations from start to finish.
• Install and bend EMT, rigid, and other conduit.
• Pull, route, and terminate wire and cable.
• Install panels, disconnects, transformers, and electrical equipment.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Perform layout and rough-in work.
• Install lighting, power distribution, and electrical systems.
• Work on commercial and industrial construction projects, including office and commercial fit-outs, warehouses and distribution facilities, manufacturing facilities, clean rooms, food and beverage facilities, and equipment installations.
• Work safely from ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms.
• Help guide apprentices and other crew members when needed.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and safety throughout the job.
