About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking a Commercial Insurance Marketing Account Executive to join their Commercial Lines team. This role involves leading and coordinating marketing activities for new and renewal business, supporting Producers in sales, and acting as a consultative point of contact for clients. The position requires identifying client needs, providing recommendations, responding to RFPs, participating in prospect meetings, directing mid-year reviews, collaborating with national leadership on LOB strategy, and mentoring account service team members. MMA offers business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions, combining local service with global resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience.
  • Six years of commercial insurance industry experience.
  • Property and casualty insurance license.
  • Considerable knowledge of markets, policies and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced.
  • Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload, and to oversee application of work flows and procedures.
  • Leadership skills and service and team orientation to provide direction, praise, constructive feedback, and development to employees in a way that maximizes productivity and team morale.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and McGriff teammates.
  • Strong persuasion skills and tact to obtain information, negotiate with markets, obtain commitment or payments due from others, and motivate staff.
  • Discretion and problem solving skills to analyze client information, proposal competitiveness, etc., and to resolve client, market and employee relations problems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business.
  • Support Producer in sales activities.
  • Serve as a consultative point of contact for clients.

  • Provide recommendations with supporting rationale with limited or no oversight from Producer.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Respond to Request of Proposals.
  • Participate in prospect meetings.
  • Direct and lead mid-year reviews.
  • Work closely with national leadership to drive LOB strategy and initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and train other account service team members.
