About The Position

S&S Truck Tire Center is hiring an Inside Tire Technician to join its Truck Tire Team. The role supports trucking companies and related industries in Lexington, Kentucky, and surrounding markets. Duties include tire and tire/wheel assembly mounting, dismounting, and installation; loading and unloading tires; tire repair; and emergency road service. The position offers starting wages of $17–$19 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and frequent overtime.

S&S Firestone, Inc. is headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, and operates commercial locations, wholesale distribution centers, and Bandag retread facilities across 11 Southeastern states. The company employs more than 650 people and operates a fleet of more than 300 service and delivery vehicles.

Requirements

• Have a valid, insurable driver’s license.
• Be at least 23 years old for driving purposes.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Be willing to contribute as an integral part of a team.
• Be committed to punctuality.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing, with coworkers and management.
• Be able to lift 75–100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with OTR, agriculture, heavy equipment, and truck tires is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, and install tires and tire/wheel assemblies.
• Load and unload tires on and off trucks.
• Repair tires.
• Provide emergency road service.
