Multnomah County's Department of County Management Division of Assessment, Recording and Taxation is seeking to fill a Commercial & Industrial Property Appraiser 2 (Emphasis on Retail and Multifamily) position. This classification is the second level (journey level paraprofessional) of three in the Property Appraiser classification series. A person in this position performs the full range of duties of appraising industrial, commercial, and multifamily properties for ad valorem taxation purposes in accordance with Oregon Department of Revenue rules and procedures, and industry best practices. Appraisers collaborate with other teams on projects and build relationships to achieve timely certification of the tax roll. Individuals are expected to take initiative, think critically, apply well developed subject knowledge, and exercise appraisal judgement while assisting in the implementation of goals and objectives.
