Position Description The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components, and ensuring reliable and efficient operation. Technicians also maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers and document service activities using Mobile-Tech software. Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience servicing commercial or industrial HVAC systems
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and standard service equipment
  • Universal EPA refrigerant certification required
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed
  • Professional image and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops and mechanical spaces
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and noise

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, air handlers, condensers, and ventilation equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance: inspect components, replace belts/filters, lubricate equipment, and check system performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC equipment.
  • Inspect systems to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders using Mobile-Tech.
  • Communicate equipment conditions and repair recommendations to supervisors and customers.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Manage assigned work efficiently to ensure timely and professional service.
