About The Position

As the Commercial HVAC Solutions Sales Specialist for Modernizations or Controls, you will be responsible for pursuing large opportunities that help our customers modernize their equipment pursuing opportunities for both plan/spec and design/build or direct-to-owner projects. This role is a great fit for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building relationships, and have outstanding customer service. This is the ideal role for those that are results-oriented and are adept at handling large mechanical customer projects. This role will predominantly be out in the field with customers and based in Louisville/Cincinnati. The Solutions Specialist supports customers and growth in Cincinnati and Louisville metro area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC sales or industrial sales, commercial HVAC service contractor experience, technical sales, sales engineering, or account management experience in HVAC, building systems, mechanical services, controls, or energy services.
• Ability to lift/carry 20 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, and work safely around rooftops, mechanical rooms, and elevated platforms as required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements, where applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management Facilities Management
• Expert in Sales, HVAC, Building Automation, and/or controls knowledge.
• Experience selling into the BAS/HVAC Controls Industry
• Demonstrated success selling directly to end-user customers in commercial HVAC, mechanical services, controls, building technologies, facilities, energy services, or related technical environments.
• Experience selling service agreements, planned maintenance, repairs, modernization projects, controls, digital offerings, or lifecycle solutions tied to operational and financial outcomes.
• Ability to create trusted advisor relationships with customers by understanding business objectives, facility priorities, asset conditions, budget drivers, and risk factors.

• Demonstrate expertise in Commercial HVAC
• Promote Carrier value proposition linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions
• Manage complex multi service solutions proposals
• Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities and opportunity pipeline
• Demonstrate well developed sales skills to include expert awareness, commercial acumen and integrity
• Seek out and access new Modernization opportunities both with existing customers and new prospect customers
• Establish and build credibility
• Develop and sustain customer relationships
• Create compelling presentations and communicate effectively
• Detect the Customer’s buying stage and adjust selling accordingly
• Manage multiple activities all occurring at the same time, organize others and workflow to meet objectives on time
• Anticipate future trends accurately
• Adapts quickly in face pace environment to gain the order/booking in a timely manner
• Consistently achieve sales metrics and annual targets
• Create high quality timely estimates, bids & proposals including detailed cost benefit analysis to support client's business case for investment.
