Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC mechanical experience (including commercial electrical, piping, and advanced hydronic systems).
  • 2+ years of proven supervisory or operational management experience running a commercial field team.
  • Strong experience reading schematics, interpreting mechanical codes, managing job costing, and leveraging software (dispatch/CRM/accounting tools).
  • A natural leader built on Accountability, Trust, and exceptional Customer Service.
  • Ability to climb ladders, access rooftops, utilize lift equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must pass a national background check.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic planning for the commercial service division.
  • Manage departmental budgets, track job costs, analyze P&L, and optimize technician labor efficiency.
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing team of commercial technicians.
  • Identify skill gaps and design ongoing training programs to build the sharpest field crew in Texas.
  • Oversee the estimating, professional submission, client negotiation, and meticulous execution of complex commercial repair proposals and preventive maintenance agreements.
  • Serve as the final technical authority on complex commercial systems (large RTUs, multi-zone systems, gas piping, electrical, and control loops).
  • Ensure absolute mechanical code compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key commercial accounts, resolving escalated field issues with radical integrity and clear communication.
  • Streamline parts procurement, manage major equipment deliveries, and oversee tool/inventory controls to eliminate field downtime.
