Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC service, maintenance, and repair experience.
- Active EPA Universal certification (Required).
- Proven ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
- Strong electrical and piping troubleshooting expertise.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong customer service skills.
- A reliable, self-supporting work ethic.
Nice To Haves
- HVAC Trade School certifications or active TDLR licenses are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Service, diagnose, and maintain a wide variety of commercial mechanical systems with high autonomy and minimal supervision.
- Apply foundational refrigeration cycles, heat transfer laws, and fluid hydronics to resolve complex electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues without guessing or swapping parts.
- Work across commercial/light industrial gear, including RTUs, split systems, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and VAV systems.
- Manage jobs through an internal field management system (BuildOps).
- Track asset history, complete service documentation accurately, and keep clients and dispatch updated in real time.
- Operate aerial lifts, recovery equipment, overhead cranes, and testing instruments safely.
- Enforce jobsite safety, strict Lock-Out/Tag-Out protocols, and code compliance on every call.
