This role is different from a typical HVAC job chasing random service calls. You will work on modern, standardized commercial kitchen facilities in predictable environments, allowing for faster diagnostics and less guesswork. The role involves a mix of hands-on repair, system troubleshooting, and facility support, with opportunities to grow into Facilities or Regional leadership roles. You will be part of a rapidly growing operation in a $100B+ industry, with independent problem-solving capabilities supported by a collaborative network of engineering and senior technicians for complex escalations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience
  • Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration(WIC/F)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC Universal certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent)
  • Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities
  • Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites
  • Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work
  • Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors
  • Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance
  • Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality
  • Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions
