About The Position

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical is seeking a Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics of HVAC/R systems in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex HVAC/R issues to ensure efficient operation and optimal performance of client systems. This role is crucial for maintaining client satisfaction and upholding the company's mission of building people and buildings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Service Technician, with a focus on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC/R systems.
  • Universal EPA certification.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Solid understanding of electrical circuits and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, meters, gauges, and other equipment to assess system performance and diagnose issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant technical certifications or vocational training in HVAC/R.

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC/R systems.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools, meters, and gauges to analyze system performance and identify root causes of problems.
  • Develop effective solutions to resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Communicate findings and recommended solutions to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Complete necessary paperwork with company-issued laptop/tablet.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients by delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Safely drive a company vehicle, follow requirements of the company vehicle driving policy, and adhere to all safety requirements.
