About The Position

As a Commercial HVAC Lead Installer, you’ll oversee the installation of HVAC systems in commercial buildings, ensuring precision, safety, and client satisfaction. You’ll guide less experienced installers while working independently and collaborating with clients and team members.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience in commercial settings
  • Certifications: EPA Certification (Universal license) required
  • Climb and descend ladders while carrying up to 30 lbs.
  • Maneuver in confined spaces (e.g., crawlspaces, attics)
  • Work under severe temperature conditions for extended periods
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass drug, background, and driver’s license checks
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and travel as needed
  • Strong ability to distinguish between various HVAC equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and industry software (iPad/iPhone use preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients and team members
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service to ensure client satisfaction
  • Resolve client concerns or escalate to appropriate experts
  • Ensure timely arrival at job sites and monitor work for quality and efficiency
  • Support ongoing process improvements and team training on BGIS, client, and safety standards
  • Install a wide range of HVAC equipment (RTUs, WSHP, chillers, MAUs, FAUs, furnaces, air handlers, indoor/outdoor coils, UV lights, air cleaners, dehumidifiers) with minimal supervision
  • Design, fabricate, and install duct fittings and transitions
  • Complete wiring for low- and line-voltage systems, including brazing and soldering copper refrigerant lines
  • Install flex duct systems and connect gas lines to heating equipment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Perform system startups and interpret equipment readings to ensure proper operation
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation
  • Manage and stock company vehicles with necessary materials, returning unused or defective parts
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced installers
  • Adhere to corporate and legislative policies on safety, health, environment, and fire protection

Benefits

  • Pay: $40–$44/hour ($62,400–$91,520/annually based off a 40 Hr. work week) + Overtime when authorized by Leadership
  • Travel Support: $55/day per diem and company-provided lodging for overnight travel.
