About The Position
East Texas Refrigeration (ETR) is seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Installers to join their growing team in Tyler, TX. ETR has been providing HVAC and refrigeration services to commercial clients since 1980 and is looking for individuals who value craftsmanship, integrity, and pride in their trade. This is a full-time role with opportunities for career stability and a supportive team environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC installation experience with ductwork and units
- Pipefitting and brazing experience is required
- Sheet metal & commercial unit installation experience
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical documents
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean record
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and pride in your craft
Nice To Haves
- EPA certification
- VRF experience
Responsibilities
- Install commercial HVAC systems (new construction and retrofits)
- Work with project managers and GCs to ensure jobs are completed on time and within scope
- Train and mentor junior techs and apprentices
- Perform code-compliant work that meets high-quality standards
- Maintain accurate job records (materials, time, progress)
- Travel occasionally to job sites across East Texas and surrounding areas
- Prioritize safety and teamwork on every project
