About The Position

The HVAC Installer is responsible for the installation of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and systems. This position performs installations in accordance with company standards, project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building codes while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. The Installer works independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule, to high quality standards, and with strict attention to detail. This position requires frequent travel (over 50%) to various regional job sites.

Requirements

Ability to travel over 50% as required by project schedules.
All qualified candidates must complete a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and background check.
Must maintain an insurable driving record as determined by the company’s insurance provider.
Valid driver’s license registered in the state where you will be working.
Proven experience or solid working knowledge of basic electrical installation concepts and HVAC electrical connections.
Previous experience or familiarity with crane set coordination and heavy equipment rigging.
Comfortable using smartphone/tablet devices to navigate electronic tracking platforms.
The company will provide transportation and certain tools that you will be responsible for.

Responsibilities

Install commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, package units, walk-in coolers/freezers, refrigeration piping, and associated components.
Assist in and coordinate crane lifts, setting heavy rooftop equipment, curb placements, and rigging procedures safely.
Apply foundational electrical installation knowledge to connect low-voltage control wiring, high-voltage line connections, and associated electrical components safely.
Install sheet metal ductwork, spiral duct, flex duct, grilles, diffusers, registers, dampers, accessories, refrigerant piping, condensate drains, supports, hangers, insulation, and equipment curbs.
Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and installation plans.
Measure, fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork and related materials.
Efficiently utilize multiple electronic platforms and mobile applications for time tracking, job logging, material tracking, installation reports, and daily project documentation.
Assist with equipment start-up and commissioning activities as directed.
Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and construction equipment.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites while strictly adhering to OSHA regulations and wearing required PPE at all times.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, coworkers, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
Operate company vehicles in accordance with company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned.
