About The Position

Install HVAC systems and all other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner, while also helping facilitate customer satisfaction and workplace safety. All HVAC technicians are expected to work under close supervision within a team-oriented environment and with a minimal amount of creative design, depending on work experience and proven competencies.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; EPA certification a plus
  • 3-5 years of practical working experience in the HVAC industry, prefer commercial HVAC
  • Past experience working on construction projects desired
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, specifications, and drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Must have an honest and dependable personality
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong ability to distinguish between various HVAC equipment
  • Self motivated individual with strong ability to follow instructions and work alone, as well as work effectively within a team
  • Ability to display professional company image
  • Possession of valid driver’s license with good record of driving and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong ability to write and read in English language
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 100lbs safely
  • Strong ability to operate under severe temperature condition for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb, stoop, balance, crouch, crawl, or/and kneel continually
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction sites
  • Lexington, KY 40506: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman HVAC
  • EPA certification a plus
  • experience installing duct systems is preferred
  • Past experience working on construction projects desired

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems for commercial construction
  • Cutting and threading pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machines
  • Installation of sheet metal duct and HVAC equipment
  • Set/mount equipment, rough-in and trim duct systems, experience installing duct systems is preferred
  • Layout and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned
