About The Position

The HVAC Installer is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a dependable problem-solver who can read system layouts, follow manufacturer specifications, work efficiently with team members, and communicate professionally with customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC Installation Technician.
  • OSHA 10 and EPA Universal certifications required or willingness to obtain.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and HVAC system connections.
  • Experience using HVAC tools, including pressure gauges, thermometers, hand tools, and other industry-related equipment.
  • Familiarity with local HVAC regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
  • Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, confined areas, and other jobsite conditions.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform physical work, including climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding; standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, and lifting as required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or associate degree from an accredited HVAC technical program preferred.
  • NATE certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties, including furnaces, air conditioners, air handlers, ductwork, and related equipment, while following manufacturer guidelines and local building codes.
  • Connect electrical components and ensure proper wiring for heating and cooling equipment.
  • Install and connect sheet metal and flexible duct systems to support proper airflow and ventilation.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand system layouts, measurements, and installation requirements.
  • Inspect systems for leaks, test airflow, and verify proper system operation and performance.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to help prevent breakdowns.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate customers on the proper use and care of their HVAC equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean, safe, and working condition.
