About The Position

Vander Hyde Mechanical is seeking to add an experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in commercial HVAC systems and estimating. You will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, developing competitive bids, and supporting project success from preconstruction through completion. Vander Hyde Mechanical has been locally owned and operated in Grand Rapids for over 36 years. Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of commercial HVAC field experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects
• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Develop and submit proposals and bid packages
• Collaborate with project managers and internal teams
• Track project costs and improve estimating accuracy
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and clients
