About The Position

AC Corporation is seeking motivated individuals to join our HVAC Apprenticeship Program. This state-approved program, developed in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Labor and the NC Community College System, offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and earn industry-recognized certifications while training to become a skilled HVAC professional. The program combines on-the-job training with classroom instruction, covering installation, maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, refrigeration diagnostics, and more. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an A.A.S. degree program for HVAC at a North Carolina Community College.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Basic mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Resume required with application.
• Official transcript from current technical college required with application.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in commercial HVAC system installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Learn electrical wiring and troubleshooting for HVAC systems.
• Develop skills in refrigeration systems and diagnostics.
• Understand blueprint reading and ductwork fabrication.
• Operate and maintain energy-efficient HVAC systems.
• Attend monthly training sessions via AC University.
• Complete approximately 6,000 - 8,000 on-the-job training hours over 3-4 years.
