About The Position
Commercial Hood Cleaning Technician - Night Shift Full-Time | Overnight Schedule | Paid Training | Career Growth Opportunities Looking for a hands-on career where you can learn a skilled trade and grow? Nelbud is hiring Commercial Hood Cleaning Technicians to clean and maintain commercial kitchen exhaust systems for restaurants and facilities throughout the Evansville area. This is a physically demanding, overnight field position involving pressure washing, ladder climbing, rooftop work, equipment setup, and industrial cleaning. No hood cleaning experience is required. We provide paid, hands-on training. New technicians begin in our structured 30-60-90 Day KEC Step Program, where you'll build technical skills and work toward advancement opportunities and additional hourly compensation as you complete training, testing, and performance milestones. Shift start times vary based on customer schedules, typically beginning between 6:00 PM and midnight.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work overnight and varying schedules
- Ability to perform physical labor and work at heights
- Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Experience in construction, landscaping, pressure washing, roofing, HVAC, duct cleaning, pest control, restoration, manufacturing, warehouse work, military service, or other physically demanding work can translate well to this role.
Responsibilities
- Clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, and exhaust fans
- Remove grease buildup using pressure washers and specialized cleaning equipment
- Work on rooftops, ladders, and around commercial kitchen equipment
- Protect customer work areas and maintain a clean jobsite
- Follow company safety procedures and standards
- Deliver professional, dependable service to our customers
