About The Position

The Commercial Growth Representative is responsible for handling assigned Pace Analytical Services accounts, achieving financial targets for those accounts, and managing inbound leads. This role involves maintaining revenue from assigned accounts to ensure clients in the maintenance classification are well supported, reducing attrition. It also focuses on generating new revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing maintenance and strategic accounts. The representative will assess and qualify inbound leads generated from the website and marketing programs to win new business, and develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information, and preparing quotations. Creating new accounts and contacts from inbound programs and outbound research, following standard operating procedures to document customer interactions, and updating job knowledge by reviewing product information and participating in educational opportunities are also key aspects of the role. The position requires supporting departmental and organizational goals by taking ownership of new and diverse tasks, identifying opportunities to add value to job responsibilities, and contributing to team effectiveness by offering suggestions and actively participating in team activities. Promoting Pace’s mission by demonstrating professional, courteous, and cooperative behavior with customers and staff is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field AND two (2) years of professional experience in environmental services or laboratory operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced sales principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Administration and oversight of sales programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Technical knowledge of Pace products and services.
  • Methods to resolve sales and customer issues and concerns.
  • Applicable sales laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Testing tools, equipment, and processes.
  • Relevant computer applications and systems.
  • Effective teamwork and project participation practices.
  • Communication methods for working with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Proper business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
