Requirements
- Current Texas Tradesman, Journeyman, or Master Plumbing License
- Experience installing and servicing commercial gas piping systems
- Strong knowledge of fuel gas codes and commercial plumbing systems
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently when needed
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, modify, and maintain commercial natural gas and propane piping systems
- Perform gas pressure testing, leak detection, and system start-ups
- Install gas piping for commercial equipment including boilers, rooftop units, furnaces, water heaters, commercial kitchens, generators, and specialty equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and commercial construction documents
- Coordinate daily work with general contractors, project managers, inspectors, and other trades
- Troubleshoot gas system issues and provide effective solutions
- Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and national plumbing and fuel gas codes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Document work performed, including photos and field notes when necessary
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentices as needed
