About The Position

A respected commercial flooring contractor with more than 70 years of success specializing in ceramic tile, terrazzo, natural stone, LVT, and carpet installations is hiring their next Superintendent. Known for quality craftsmanship, long-term client relationships, and a reputation built on honesty, this company is expanding its South Carolina operations and looking for a leader to become a key part of that growth. This isn't a position where you'll be stuck on one project for years. You'll oversee a variety of high-profile commercial projects throughout South Carolina while helping shape the future of a growing division.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Tile Superintendent
  • Strong hands-on commercial ceramic tile installation background
  • Ability to perform and understand all aspects of tile installation
  • Experience with layouts, concrete preparation, waterproofing systems, and membrane installation
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable using SharePoint, tablets, and project management software
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with terrazzo, natural stone, glass mosaic, or large-format tile
  • Existing relationships with General Contractors throughout the Carolinas
  • Estimating or project scoping experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 3-5 active commercial ceramic tile projects simultaneously
  • Coordinate and manage multiple installation crews across various jobsites
  • Perform layouts and ensure installations meet quality standards
  • Attend preconstruction and coordination meetings with owners, GCs, and project teams
  • Manage material logistics, deliveries, inventory, and field coordination
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors and Construction Managers
  • Resolve jobsite issues, scheduling conflicts, and safety challenges
  • Step in hands-on when needed to support crews and keep critical milestones on track
