Commercial Flooring Estimator
About The Position

We’re seeking a Commercial Flooring Estimator / Planner to join our Custom Design Studio in Cartersville, GA. This role plays a critical part in bringing customer projects to life—translating architectural plans into accurate material estimates, installation plans, and production-ready layouts. You’ll partner closely with sales, design, and project teams to ensure every project is executed with precision—from concept through installation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of experience in estimating, drafting, or construction-related roles
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
- Strong mathematical and measurement skills (scaling, fractions, geometry)
- Experience performing material takeoffs or quantity calculations
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365
- Ability to work onsite in Cartersville, GA at least 3 days per week
Nice To Haves
- 4+ years of estimating or planning experience
- Experience in commercial flooring, construction, or interior projects
- Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- Experience working with CRM or project systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to determine material requirements and installation layouts
- Perform material takeoffs and develop accurate project estimates using estimating tools
- Create detailed installation and seaming diagrams using AutoCAD and related software
- Develop manufacturing layouts for custom flooring applications (rugs, runners, panels, borders, etc.)
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and sales to deliver complete project solutions
- Prepare and maintain organized project documentation, estimate packages, and revisions
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy across all deliverables
