About The Position

Specialty Millwork and Fixture Installation Contractor seeking Career Minded Lead Finish Carpenters who can perform in a diverse range of situations overseeing and installing cabinets, casework, wall panels, column wraps, millwork and standing and running trim in commercial and retail environments.

Requirements

High School, Trade School or Equivalent education.
Five years installation and Commercial or Retail finish carpentry experience.
One year minimum supervisory experience.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, work from an aerial lift.
Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting and squatting.
Ability to work with materials over your head for short durations.
Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Working knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings, shop drawings and floorplans, woodworking tools.
Provide your basic hand tools and cordless drill.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Forklift certification.
Aerial lift certification.

Responsibilities

Managing and motivating others.
Interacting professionally with clients, general contractors and sub-contractors.
Clearly and effectively communicating with the Project Management Team.
Personnel management of various crews ranging from 3-8 people.
Interpreting layouts for millwork, fixtures and other elements.
Evaluating site conditions, construction and delivery schedules.
Identifying non-contract scope and generating added work changes if necessary.
Receiving, staging and managing inventory of millwork and fixture parts.
Performing all tasks of a working carpenter including installation of cabinets, countertops, standing and running trim (base, chair rail, crown moldings, door and window casings), scribing, coping, installing wall panel systems, retail fixtures etc.
Submitting time sheets, expense reports, daily reports and progress photos electronically.
Supporting a strong commitment to site safety.
