About The Position

Dentsu is a global company headquartered in London, operating in 145 countries with over 50,000 specialists, focused on innovating how brands are built through expertise in media, customer relationship management, and creative communication services. This is a short-term contract role for a Commercial Finance Manager, supporting the Commercial Finance Director for Creative Service lines. The role involves partnering with senior business leaders to provide strategic financial insight, resource and forecasting analysis, and profitability support to enable informed commercial decision-making.

Requirements

  • CPA designation (or equivalent professional accounting qualification) required
  • Strong advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Proven experience producing and analyzing burn rate reports, resource utilization, and cost tracking
  • Strong background in financial data analysis and management reporting to support commercial decision‑making
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and client service leaders across creative or agency environments
  • Confident and effective presenter, able to communicate complex financial insights clearly to internal clients and leadership teams
  • Experience supporting Commercial Finance Directors or senior finance leaders within professional services or creative services organizations
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, contract environment with high attention to detail and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and provides advice on strategic financial plans in partnership with business leaders
  • Partners to provide insight and challenge through financial analysis to enable business partners to make key decisions and achieve targets
  • Supports Commercial Finance Director and client leadership by providing analytical insight and ensuring optimal balance of planned resources vs actual resources usage per internal and contractual cadence (monthly or quarterly)
  • Works with business leaders to understand and model resource requirements, impact on forecasts and staffing plans allocation on a quarterly basis
  • Monitor flexible resources budget, needs and usage on a monthly basis
  • Supports preparation and analysis of client profitability, identifies and supports initiatives to improve profitability/margin
  • Supports the Commercial Finance Director and business leaders as necessary with high quality and insightful analysis and scenario planning, as requested from time to time
