About The Position

Masco Canada is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their Finance team. This role is crucial for driving profitable growth by offering financial insights, analytical rigor, and strategic support to the commercial organization. The analyst will be responsible for customer and channel profitability analysis, financial modeling for new initiatives, and collaborating with Sales, Category Management, and Accounting to ensure the financial soundness and accurate execution of pricing, promotions, and customer programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyze and manage large, complex data sets accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with revenue management, trade spend, or Gross‑to‑Net concepts is considered an asset.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial analysis and modelling for new customer programs, promotions, ROI on capital investments, and strategic projects; translate assumptions into clear financial outcomes and risk/return scenarios.
  • Partner with Sales and Category Management to develop and refine pricing strategies, competitive positioning, and margin impacts.
  • Liaise with Accounting to ensure consistent understanding and accurate treatment of customer programs once implemented.
  • Own customer and channel profitability analysis, including development of customer P&Ls, margin diagnostics, and insights that guide account strategy and resource allocation.
  • Advise stakeholders with data-driven recommendations that support profitability goals.
  • Analyze trends and drivers by customer, product, and channel to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain Proforma modeling tool to standardize analysis and enable cross functional teams.
  • Build and maintain data visualization tools or dashboards that improve visibility into customer performance, pricing, and promotional outcomes.
  • Support post‑program reviews to assess financial performance versus expectations.
  • Adhere to Masco Canada policies, internal controls, and documentation standards related to Gross‑to‑Net.
  • Maintain organized records of commercial agreements, assumptions, and calculations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, data quality, and process efficiency.
