We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Commercial Field Specialist. You will support C&I Demand Response programs - candidate must live in and drive throughout the Virginia utility territory. Act as local on-site program and company representative to small business and commercial customers. Install energy efficient equipment, conduct energy efficiency (re)audits, pre- and post-installation verifications and other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Support Account Managers in their efforts to influence stakeholders, to sell and/or install energy efficiency retrofits, or new construction. Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications. Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, and recommends solutions.
Requirements
- Must live in and drive throughout the Virginia utility territory
- 8+ Years of experience
- 21+ with a clean valid drivers license
- Reliable vehicle to travel through defined territory
- Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test
- Must consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment
- If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support
- Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks

- High school or Associates Degree w/relevant industry technical certification/training preferred
Responsibilities
- Install energy efficient equipment
- Conduct energy efficiency (re)audits
- Perform pre- and post-installation verifications
- Gather technical data
- Support Account Managers in influencing stakeholders and selling/installing energy efficiency retrofits or new construction
- Provide technical advice, guidance, and training on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement according to client specifications
- Troubleshoot technical problems and issues and recommend solutions
- Train field staff and develop training materials and guidelines on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement according to client specifications
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and energy audits of complex and large-scale commercial buildings
- Complete on-site verifications and electronic review of field data entered into program database
- Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning, and effectiveness of products
- Provide technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve issues
